Bridgewire is going to Maker Faire!

This year Bridgewire will have its very own booth in the Hackerspace Alley section in the Expo Hall at Maker Faire. For those of you who don’t know, Maker Faire Bay Area is an amazing showcase of creativity and cool technology that celebrates the DIY mindset. It’s stimulating, inspiring and fun for all ages. You just have to be there to experience it for yourself. I highly encourage everyone to attend. Check out the Maker Faire site for more information.

Student Membership Added

After a unanimous vote of the officers earlier this month, Bridgewire now offers a Student Membership for $35 per month. We offer this reduced rate to give students the opportunity work on projects and become part of the Maker Community. Please encourage any student makers you may know to come by during our next Open Space Night and introduce themselves. Student ID required. Student Members have all the privileges and access as a Full Member except voting rights and the ability to become an officer or board member.

Open Space Nights Still Every Thursday, Member Meetings Have Changed!

Member meetings will now be held the First Tuesday of each month.  These meetings are a forum for members to get together and discuss various issues related to Bridgewire.  We will also discuss group projects and matters related to improving Bridgewire as a whole.  Bridgewire officers will meet the Monday preceding the monthly member meeting.

Open Space Nights are still open to the public and will still be held every Thursday night from 6-9pm.
